That Speaks
My Philosophy
“I love this planet. The places that are most wild reflect her in the most humbling, honest, and
unpredictable ways, and there is beauty in it all, to share what I see through my eyes to people
who share the same love for her is my greatest privilege.”

My name is Wyatt Thompson.
I grew up in South-East Kansas. Ever since I was a little kid I always loved the outdoors and finding the beauty in moments and scenes the world has to offer.
I quickly fell in love with chasing those scenes and capturing those moments. Becoming immersed
in them and flowing through each feeling, deep emotion, and wondrous possibilities of compositions in these places in time, and successfully capturing that into a picture is the feeling I’ll chase for the rest of my life.
Each time I compose a photo, the weight of whatever life has to throw fades away for a moment, and in that moment there is a bit of peace.
A peace in the humbling truth of how small we are on this planet, in the Universe.
When you see a mountain that has seen billions of sunrises, a river that has sliced through ground and rock revealing the past periods of time, the night sky over an ocean as it breaks against the sand of a lonely beach, or the last bit of sun that
drapes over vast fields where the color is almost indescribable.
Our time here is finite. In these places you are reminded how fragile you truly are. The Wild was here long before us, and will be here long after we are gone. It is true, it is brutally honest, and it is perfect.
Let’s keep the wild wild, hope the lonely places stay lonely, and help preserve them while giving back to places that
have given so much to me.
